【摘要】:Thismethodforthedeterminationofdiaphragmburstingstrengthofknitted,nonwovenandwovenfabricsisbeingusedbythetextileindustryfortheevaluationofawidevarietyofenduses.IncaseswheretestresultsobtainedusingtheproceduresinTestMethodD3786havenotbeencorrelatedwithactualperformance,TestMethodD3786isconsideredsatisfactoryforacceptancetestingofcommercialshipmentsoftextilefabricsforburstingstrengthsincethemethodhasbeenusedextensivelyinthetradeforacceptancetesting.IncaseswheredisagreementarisingfromdifferencesinvaluesreportedbythepurchaserandthesupplierwhenusingTestMethodD3786foracceptancetesting,thestatisticalbias,ifany,betweenthelaboratoryofthepurchaserandthelaboratoryofthesuppliershouldbedeterminedwithcomparisonbasedontestingspecimensrandomlydrawnfromonesampleofmaterialofthetypebeingevaluated.Note28212;Thekindofloadtransferandstretchthatoccurwhenknittedgoodsandnonwovenfabricsarewornarepreventedbyclampingthemasdescribedinthismethod.1.1Thistestmethoddescribesthemeasurementoftheresistanceoftextilefabricstoburstingusingahydraulicorpneumaticdiaphragmburstingtester.Thistestmethodisgenerallyapplicabletoawidevarietyoftextileproducts.1.2Thistestmethodmayalsobeapplicableforstretchwovenandwovenindustrialfabricssuchasinflatablerestraints.1.3ThevaluesstatedineitherSIunitsorinch-poundunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemmaynotbeexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemshallbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultinnon-conformancewiththestandard.Note18212;Forthemeasurementoftheburstingstrengthbymeansofaballburstmechanism,refertoTestMethodD3787.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
